Where to watch the Green Bay Packers in Austin Texas? As an Austin resident for 15 years and a Packers fan all my life I’ve been to lots of bars that show or claim to show the games. I certainly haven’t been everywhere so if there’s a good place I’ve missed let me know and I will add it to the list.

Billy’s on Burnet – 2105 Hancock Drive

Billy’s is probably the most well known bar that shows Green Bay Packers games in Austin. The atmosphere is the best of the bars that show Packers games in Austin due to the small size of the bar/restaurant and because they ONLY show Packers games while the team is playing. Billy’s has good food, try the Billy Burger if you dare, and a great selection of beers on tap. Fellow Packers fans are friendly and because it’s in Central Austin near Burnet and Hancock you will see some different types of Packers fans than you might see in other parts of Austin. I like how the tables are mostly round because that leads to more socializing between the fans. The only downside of Billy’s is it gets crowded, very crowded, especially when the Packers are winning. The guys I used to sit with would often show up 2 hours before the game to save a table.

Shooters – 11416 Ranch Rd 620 N

Shooters is similar to Billy’s in that the majority of the people in the bar on Sundays will be Packers fans. They do show other games on some of the smaller tv’s which I like to be able to keep up with what’s going on around the NFL. Their set up is with one very large tv in the front and then everyone sets up their tables in rows. The food and beer menu at Shooters is more limited than Billy’s BUT during games they grille outside and have discounts on hamburgers and hot dogs that are pretty good. Shooters is off 620 near Anderson Mill Rd. A convenient location for those of us who live North.

Pluckers Lakeline Mall– 11066 Pecan Park Blvd

The Pluckers that shows the Packers games is located near Lakeline Mall in Cedar Park. They do show the games with sound and I see they already sent out Meetup group invitations for this year. Hopefully they will get a larger group of Packers fans in Austin come out for the games. Last year the Packers fans were outnumbered by fans of all the other teams. I like the food at Pluckers but it wasn’t a very social environment for the fans because everyone is spread out throughout the bar. I’d be more likely to go back to the games at Pluckers if there was a section for Packers fans.

Third Base Round Rock – 3107 S IH 35

I’m a big fan of Third Base in general. Like Pluckers they have the games on but at least when we were there they don’t have a section for Packers fans. It’s still a fun bar and a good location if you are trying to find a place that shows the Packers games in Round Rock so it’s definitely worth checking out.
